I have been forecasting across the US for nearly 18 years; more than 9 years in Knoxville, Tennessee, 5 years in Colorado with extensive mountain forecasting, and nearly 3 years on the National broadcast. I have received all Broadcast Meteorology Seals of Approval:
My experience with Weather Central, WSI and Baron weather computer systems allow me to leads my weather teams in the production and presentation of on-air and web graphics.
My community outreach involves speaking at over fifty schools a year to teach students about weather and how it affects their daily lives. Since I am an Eagle Scout, I continue to support the local Scouting program as an Executive Board Member, an Eagle Board of Review member, and a Cub Scout Recruiter. I have been Knoxville's 2009-2012 Honorary Chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am a Pink Tie Guy, representing the one and eight women who will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime.
I like to have fun, but I take my job very seriously as weather can change lives. I continue to be fascinated how the atmosphere works and enjoy explaining it to viewers in a clear and concise way. Education is top priority and I attend conferences on a yearly basis to broaden my knowledge.
